Tents
Tents come in all shapes and sizes, from tiny one-person tents to humungous family bell tents and we welcome them all at Penhale! If you are staying in a tent, you also have a choice of serviced or standard camping pitches.
Serviced pitches
Serviced pitches are flat grass terraces, with electric hook-up, water tap and Wi-Fi included in the price, and are generous in size - minimum 10 metre x 10 metre - so are large enough to fit most tents (if your tent is larger than 10 metre in length you will need to contact us to discuss access).
Non Electric Grass Pitch
Standard camping pitches give you the choice of two camping fields, one small and one large, where you can pick your favourite spot to pitch up. We just ask that you leave a minimum of six metres between your tent and other guests. There is no electric hook-up for standard camping but free Wi-Fi and water is included in the price and we can charge phones/laptops etc on reception for a small donation to our RNLI lifeboat.
Both types of pitch enjoy sea views out across St Austell Bay, and as a working organic beef farm the campsite is set within 400 acres of beautiful rolling farmland. There is 24/7 access to the shower block facilities, grey waste disposal and chemical toilet. We also live in the farmhouse on site so are always around for any issues which may arise during your stay. We have a no noise policy between 11pm and 7am to ensure our guests are able to sleep soundly.
